Its taste is permeated by the scent of fresh grass, with a citrusy, slightly eucalyptus character. In addition, we can also discover the characteristic smell of the pine or the “Christmas tree”.
The terpenoid content of nearly 2% is considered very high, in descending order of its main components: Alpha-Pinene, Linalool, Eucalyptol, Beta-Caryophyllene, Alpha-Phelandrene.
This terpenoid is responsible for the pleasant and cooling aroma of eucalyptus, mint, rosemary, tea tree, mugwort, bay leaf, sweet basil, sage, and certain strains of cannabis. Cineol may have a positive effect on Alzheimer’s disease by improving memory and learning. Terpenoids are so small in size that they easily cross the blood-brain barrier, meaning they can have a direct effect on the brain. This effect is also valid in FOCUSing.
